Because I do not yet have time to read The Silmarillion, I decided to start this fic. Its pondered in my head since I read it in the novels, and though I have seen attempts at this time line tried before, none of them quite satisfied what I wanted. I wanted despair, darkness, lonliness, emptiness. Death, sorrow, corruption, greed, and evil in the hands of Samwise. So I sought out to write it, if I could not read it. This fic is
DARK. I have tried as valiantly as possible to keep it in the theme of Tolkien, although
my own flair of course has gotten in the way. The first chapter is black. It will get
worse. I have a set out plot in my head, but it is not yet solidified. I am proud of this work of night, but it's not going to be suitable for anyone. It is perfect for those of you who dwell on angst, or Sam-torture. Despite my better judgement, I have decided not to make this story slash.
