Irvine Kinneas

Irvine Kinneas, the playboy sharp-shooter from the hit PSX game Final Fantasty VIII. Irvine's my favourite character, but he's muchly under appericated in the game. Your typical cowboy type [although I think it's mutual consent amoung FF8 fans that he rides chocobos and not horses], people tend to not like poor Irvine because you get him late in the game, and he chokes up [once]. He's still a great character and I loved playing him. Debuted for Halloween; planning to revise for Fanimecon '01 with Michi as Zell.

Irvine Kinneas
Irvine wasn't too incredibly hard to make. =D Chole Bradga did the jacket for me as a replacement for the Touga one she botched. The Irvine-jacket came out nice. I'm pleased. =D The blue vest I made, and it was pretty easy. The only odd thing about it is that the zipper I installed was too small to unhook at the bottom, so it never completely can open. The jeans need work. Right now, they're just brown jeans, but I intend to make his chaps when I get some time and the ability to run to the thrift store. The hat I got from Spencers and it took me forever to find, despite it being Halloween. X_x; I glued nickels as the silver disks around the hat. Why? Well, a bag of silver disks at Michaels was $1 and it was only 30 cents to use six nickels. =D I did buy wooden chips to use for the necklace, sprayed them silver, hot glued them to silver cording and glued on the red jewels. =D I still need to attach the tassles. The gun in some of the pictures was made by my friend Frank. Shoes were my Folken platforms for that additional bit of height. ^^ What else? *thinks* Oh, the gloves I got at Sportsmart. I don't really like them, but they work well. For Yaoi Con Zell borrowed my gloves so I butchered my Youji gloves to be fingerless and they worked well. The costume is great; it's very comfortable and -warm- (which was a plus during those cold October nights).
